Job Summary
ROLE OBJECTIVE

To Support Direct Tax Team in handling Assessment of company and Investors. To act as contact
person of Investors for effective handling of assessments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Responsibilities
• Support in assessment of tax liability of the organization and investors in consultation
with the legal authorities and ensure that the tax liability is paid and returns are filed on time.
• To Handle Income Tax Assessment of Investors and to prepare reply letters for notices received.
• Prepare statements for audits, necessary paperwork & reports and estimate & track tax returns.
• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.
• Possess strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations
• Understand financial landscape, changes related to taxes & market trends and provide assistance in
financial planning
• Offer support and guidance during audits.
• Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
• Responsible for providing adequate evidences and documents to the Legal team in tax related
litigation.
• Regularly review systems and make updates and improvements where necessary in consultation
with the senior management.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, monthly MIS process and other TDS related matters by
forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.
• Support in liaising with tax authorities for managing litigation at various appellate/ judicial levels.

Internal Process
• Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the section.
• Achieve cost savings through implementation of process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to all departmental processes, policies, procedures and standards such as regulatory
guidelines on accounting and internal policies.
• Review and provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management and other stakeholders as required.

People Development
• Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance
parameters and feedback to the team members.
• Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate
exposure and growth opportunities.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role incumbent from time to time as a
standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities
and agreed between the incumbent, reporting manager and HR.
