Notification for engagement of Apprentices under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973
Kerala State Electricity Board Limited,(KSEB), all units invites Online application from eligible Graduate & Diploma holders in Engineering (passed during 2019, 2020 & 2021) hailing from Kerala State for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the
Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
III. Minimum Educational Qualifications:
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
First Class Engineering Degree [Four/three year duration (for lateral entry)] awarded by an Indian
University in the respective field with not less than 60% marks.
B. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-
First Class Diploma (3 year duration) awarded by State Technical Board/University in the
respectivefield with not less than 60% marks.
IV. Age: Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
V. Reservation of Vacancies: Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Reservation for
SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be followed. Who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PWD shall
provide certificate as per Government standard format, failed which their claim for reservation willbe considered as ‘General’ category only. Candidates claiming OBC category should bring OBC
certificate as per the Govt. prescribed format from the certificate issuing authority of Tahsildar.
VI. Duration of Training: The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year
as perApprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.
VII. Previous Training / Experience: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently
undergoing apprenticeship under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more
experience are not eligible to apply.
VIII. Selection Procedure: The final rank list would be prepared according to categories General / SC /
ST / OBC on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates.
IX: PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:
X: TRAVEL EXPENSES: No TA / DA will be paid for attending certificate verification.
XI: BOARDING/LODGING: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible
XII: Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period Kerala State Electricity Board Limited
shall have no obligation to offer employment to such apprentices nor can an apprentice
claim right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.

XIV: INCOMPLETE / ERRONEOUS ONLINE APPLICATION RECEIVED AFTER DUE
DATE WILL BE REJECTED.
XV: No further communication in this regard will be entertained.
XVI: Board of Apprenticeship training (SR) has not entrusted / authorized any individual
organization to coordinate (or) liaison our work. Candidates beware of touts and our office
is not responsible for such unwanted incident
XVII: Canvassing / Pressuring through any source will disqualify the candidature and their
name will be removed from our official records without prior intimation and this Board will
not responsible for such cases.
